I was born in Atlanta and moved to Chicago when I was 11, giving me the distinct ability to claim the “southerner” and “northerner” title. Boiled peanuts? Delicious. Chicago-style hot dogs? Also delicious. My entire life I’ve been drawn to creativity and art and after enough frigid winters I decided it was time to head back down south.
I double-majored in Graphic Design and Printmaking at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I found that I loved both for different reasons, printmaking for its hands-on approach and ink’s incredible ability to create beautiful texture and design as a visual puzzle. I discovered over time that the magic is in bringing both world’s together.
